Tell us about where you live and work?
I'm originally from Stockholm Sweden but I felt like my creative career was limited there. So, I moved to London where I now live and work. I love that I can bring my art supplies and iPad wherever I want and still get my job done. The flexibility makes it so much fun :)
What does a typical day look like for you?
A typical day is a combination between drawing and doing things to spark my creativity. Illustrating can require long hours, so it's important for me to squeeze in a little walk, some fresh air and lots of coffee :)
How do you get inspired to produce a piece of artwork?
Inspiration for me comes from everywhere, I see storytelling and colour palettes all around me.
A favourite source is always, nature, Pinterest and books. I love reading children books to get inspiration and support fellow illustrator friends.
What advice would you give to new illustrators?
My best advice is to try to make your art and creativity come organically. It's hard to push yourself to be creative sometimes, we all have ups and downs. Enjoy the up-days a little extra and on the down days try to be kind to yourself, do admin work or other tasks to let your brain and hands have a well-deserved break.
What is your favourite place on the planet?
My favourite place on the planet is always home in Sweden with my family.
