'Homecoming' - an exhibition by Stu McLellan
12 September 2022
For the past week, the Landsdown Hall & Gallery in Stroud has been host to a beautiful exhibition of original ink drawings and prints by Beehive artist, Stu McLellan. The natural world has long been Stu's main source of inspiration for his personal work, and in this collection of artworks, he explores poignant questions about the deep connection between humans and the landscape around us. As well as sensitively observed studies of creatures who inhabit the world alongside us, he looks at the way in which we are rooted to wild places; that the notion of 'homecoming' is bound up with our environment and with cycles of nature much larger than us. Alongside Stu's wonderful artwork, he presented text with his own personal reflections on those themes.
We're really proud of Stu's success with his fantastic show! If you want to see more of Stu's work, check out his portfolio. We would also encourage you to visit his Etsy shop, where his gorgeous giclée prints and cards can be purchased.
